I’ve been a Premiere member of fabfitfun for over entire year now, and it’s still the best subscription purchase I’ve ever made! It’s allowed me to stock up on some of my now go-to products at just a fraction of the price, while also being exposed to new, truly amazing brands! Below are my reviews of what I received.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask - A+

rose-gold-brightening-facial-masks-pack-of-5_000000000005809683.jpg

111Skin is already a huge favorite of celebrities, including supermodels, around the world and when the Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask came out, it instantly flew off the shelves. And, I can see why!

While the picture on the left looks like a little creepy, the picture on the right is with NO filter (Portrait mode was used). The results were instantaneous and incredible!

How to Use: Carefully unfold and place on the face. Remove the film on the other side. Press into the skin to get it to stick and leave it on for 20 minutes. Once you remove, let the remaining solution naturally dry. Note: These are very delicate and rip easily!

grace & stella - Rose Facial Spray Mist - A+

Rose_Facial_Spray_005_740x.jpg

If you read our article on Ayurvedic Rituals, then you know what rose water does for your skin AND how versatile it is! I’ve tried a couple of different brands and so far, grace & stella’s Rose Facial Spray Mist outpaces the competition. I’ve got oily skin, especially in the summer, which means my moisturizers tend to be too much. This rose spray is so gentle that I mist it on my face a couple of times a day, both under and over makeup and it’s all I need.

How to use: Spray on your clean face under and/or over makeup.

Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask - B

41NHI5inULL._SY355_.jpg

Generation Clay has been a fabfitfun favorite for about a year and while the Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask works well for most people, I didn’t find it to be all that great. The clay masks tend to dry my skin out and I didn’t really see a difference in the overall brightening of my skin. However, I did pass this to a girlfriend whose skin loves clay masks (she’s 40) and she said, “OMG! The difference in the brightness of my skin is noticeable - I love it!” My suggestion is to try it out by purchasing a smaller bottle.

Doctor Rogers RESTORE Healing Balm - A+

The first time I used Doctor Rogers RESTORE Healing Balm, I literally said out loud, “Where have you been my whole life?” This little tube is a miracle worker on dry skin and results are immediate (there are 89 five star reviews to back me up). I plan on stocking up to make sure it’s in every bag I own, as well as in my car!

Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask - A

whish-beauty-body-care-coconut-milk-verbena-exfoliating-foot-mask-7287359897682_300x.jpg

I’m already a huge fan of Whish Almond Lip Scrub, so I was excited to receive another one of their products in the box! Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask not only smells amazing (their products smell almost edible), but works really well, too. My feet were left feeling super soft! The only downside was when it’s recommended for use. It takes a while to dry and if you don’t time it right, your bed time will end up being later.

How to Use: Use ideally at bed time. Apply liberally to desired area and let dry. Go to bed and awake with softer feet. Rinse after 8 – 12 hours. NOTE: While my sheets also smelled amazing, I didn’t like some of the residue that was leftover. Next time, I’ll be using socks once it dries.

SUTRA Beauty Professional Mini Travel Blow Dryer - A+

486_419-web-murble.jpg

I HATE packing unnecessary things in my suitcase or overnight bag, especially hair dryers, mainly because I always need the industrial strength infrared one that keeps my hair from looking like Sigourney Weaver’s in the 80s (she was chic back then but still… big hair), but because it’s so large, I suck it up and use the hotel’s barely-blows-more-than-a-whisper one instead, or, if it’s only a few days, I’ll forgo a wash (it’s actually terrible for your hair to wash it everyday).

When SUTRA Beauty’s Professional Mini Travel Blow Dryer came in the summer box, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. Then, I used it and mind, changed. For something so tiny, it puts out 1000 watts, manages to still be quiet, AND gets my hair (I have a lot) dried fairly quick. Skin & Co. Truffle Therapy - No Rating

TT-cleansing-oil_1079af91-0e6a-4b67-ac55-21185c968a51.jpg

If you have oily skin, Skin & Co.’s Truffle Therapy Cleansing Oil packaging says NOT to use it, that it’s intended for normal to dry skin. This doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, or that it’s a bad product - it just wasn’t something I could use. Instead, I gave it to a girlfriend to try and she said she loved it! Her quote, “It was great at removing makeup, left my face feeling soft, and with no residue!”

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring - A+

images.jpg

I’ll admit, I’m tired of my hair elastics stretching out, breaking, and me being left (at usually the wrong time) without one. But, I’m also a creature of habit, so switching to telephone cord-looking hair “ties” took a bit of warming up to. And now, I love them!

Invisibobble has not only cornered the market with their Traceless Hair Rings, but with other non-metal, non-hair-damaging accessories as well (the have re-designed the bobby pin)! They can be purchased at many places, including Sephora.

Odeme - What a Pair Silicone Wine Glasses - A+

m_5cf2fb78b3e91731c700405f.jpg

How many times have you been places (usually outdoors) where no glass is allowed, you want to drink your wine, but the plastic versions are far smaller than your average wine consumption? Yeah… it’s common.

Odeme has come up with a super chic and incredibly simplistic silicone wine glass that allows you to drink wine (or any other beverage) virtually anywhere. The bonus: Not only are they are incredibly “instagrammable”, but they are reusable!

NOTE: If you sign up for a fabfitfun subscription (email me at inspiruption@gmail.com for your first box free), you can get a 30% discount on a purchase of this or anything on their site!

ADD-ONS

Pure Cosmetics - Picture Perfect HD Powder - A+

58163.jpg

I’ve been struggling to find a translucent powder that STAYS PUT. I’ve tried boutique brands, Laura Mercier (which used to be my go-to), Bobbi Brown, and the list goes on, but nothing works! Then, I saw the add-on option for Pure Cosmetics Picture Perfect HD Powder and thought, “what the heck…” Well, I found my go-to!

First, the design and the size. I don’t know of many other loose powders that come in a company container, complete with puff, mirror, and a virtually spill-proof design. Second, the powder STAYS PUT - even on oily skin, and with any foundation, whether it’s liquid, clay, or stick. What’s even more impressive, I didn’t need makeup setting spray.

How to use: Gently pat on over makeup or by itself. You don’t need much.

Tarte - The Sculptorcontouring Face Slenderizer - B+

544-the-sculptor-contouring-face-slenderizer-park-ave-princess-OTHER-main-img_MAIN.jpg

My go-to contour stick had been Smashbox’s Contour Set trio, but I found the sticks were going too fast and were a bit hard to blend. I switched to Charlotte Tilbury’s Contour Wand, and it made my face break out. So… I was back on the hunt.

Tarte’s The Sculptorcontouring Face Slenderizer is a nice alternative to Smashbox with the same quality and consistency. However, it does take a while to blend well, which is why it got a B+ rating. With the right blending tools, you can create the perfect contour however, if you’re inexperienced at blending products, I would’t recommend it.

Immunocologie Face Serum - A+

71oVLv0hsrL._SY355_.jpg

According to Immunocologie’s Face Serum description, “Hydrates, Firms, Nourishes.  A nourishing dry oil designed for daily use, Immunocologie Face Serum is an ultra-hydrating serum which combines nutrient rich essential oils to plump, hydrate and soothe your skin for a firmer, younger-looking and more radiant complexion.”

The entire description is 100% accurate. AND… what’s even greater than its properties is that it’s meant for ALL SKiN TYPES! I was hesitant about buying this, even at a discount ($95), because it’s a face oil and my skin certainly doesn’t need any more of that. But, just a few drops of this and my face instantly lifted, firmed, brightened, and hydrated without producing oily skin! It’s seriously a miracle-worker.

How to use: You only need 2-3 drops for your entire face. Pat it into your skin until it’s sufficiently dry. I use a jade roller to further put it into my skin.

Retails for: $185 - it’s worth it!

BLUR Restorative Microneedle Treatment - A+

blur-rmt-shipping_600x600.jpg

If you were one of those that previously used Rodial’s Bee Sting patches and didn’t see the results you had hoped for, you’re not alone! The reality is, as we get older and we produce less collagen, not only do the fine lines and wrinkles set in, but so does the dryness in certain areas (for me, it’s the frown lines), which means that unless the patches have Hyaluronic acid (the stuff of magic), they won’t work well.

BLUR’s Restorative Microneedle Treatment changed my mind on these kinds of patches, by visibly erasing my fine lines, while certainly plumping and hydrating my skin! While the price tag is a bit steep, it’s well worth the money!

How to use: Press the micro needle mask vertically on the skin 3-5 times for the first 2 minutes to facilitate the adhesion of the patch. Then, leave on for 45 minutes, up to 3 hours. Theyh can be worn overnight if desired. When time is up, slowly peel them off and massage in the rest of the serum.

Retails for: $175 for two patches + serum

Odeme - The Last Straw Cocktail Straws - A

Straws-Edit-1_900x.jpg

With so many establishments now banning plastic straws and the paper ones not being all that reliable after enough sips, many beverage consumers were doing away with straws altogether. Unfortunately, for those that tend to spill, chip their teeth on drinkware (I’ve seen it happen), stain their teeth (like coffee), can’t figure out how to elegantly drink a frozen margarita without the entirety of the contents sliding out, or even have a fear of germs resting on questionably washed glasses; this becomes a huge challenge.

For the last few years, I’ve been encouraging my cosmetic dentist to look into travel/reusable straws she can sell and then I found Odeme’s The Last Straw Cocktail Straws. These super chic travel, reusable straws come four to a set with a cleaning brush. The only reason it didn’t get an A+ is because there’s no case or bag to protect it when it’s in my purse.

Vegamour VegaLASH Volumizing Serum - TBD Rating

ab3310161c9148c0f7bce9874126c43b.jpg

I’m all for anything that gives me longer lashes! Vegamour has received consistent reviews on great results after 30 days, which is why I can’t rate it yet - I’m only beginning week two. Stay tuned for updates on it.

How to use: Apply twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) for two months, dropping it to 1X a day after that. Apply to the root of your upper and lower lashes. They recommend not using oil-based cleansers during the time you are using the product.
