The Maryland Bucket List
I grew up in the Washington, D.C. area, so I’ve covered a lot of Maryland at various points in my life. So, this post will cover both my own personal recommendations, as well as things I’ve yet to explore.

Annapolis
Kind of Visit: Historical - While there’s so much important history here, it’s home to the U.S. Naval Academy and if you haven’t been to a football game in the fall there, make it a priority!
WHERE to stay
WHERE to dine & drink
Cantler’s Riverside Inn - If you’re big into crabs, this is the place!
Chick & Ruth’s - Has been serving all-day breakfast to celebrities and politicians since 1965.
Dry 85 - Speakeasy
Harry Browne’s - A favorite of politicians and lobbyists.
Level - A small plates lounge.
Pussers - A great waterfront dive bar and restaurant with great people watching!
Reynolds Tavern - The oldest tavern in Annapolis
Things to see & do
St. Anne's Parish - The oldest church in Annapolis - founded in 1692!
United States Naval Academy - If you can snag tickets to the Army vs. Navy football game in the fall, go! It’s one of the best collegiate sporting experiences!
Baltimore
Kind of Visit: City, historical - Great for foodies and whiskey lovers, and if you’re an Edgar Allen Poe and/or baseball fan, even better!
